Simple Home Staging lets Beautiful Spaces Shine

Mauna Place

To accentuate the gorgeous textures and surfaces that weave together in this kitchen, I staged with items that bring an inviting, comfy, at home feel. For instance, earth toned kitchen towels add warmth, small flowers and plants bring life and a matching stainless steel toaster and tea pot add a homey feel.

Add a Touch of the Outdoor with Easy-to-Care for Plant

Aina Hina (192 E Hind Drive)

Bring the beauty of the islands into your home. Add a touch of the outdoor (fake fig tree) and hint of color from a plate of fruit (red apples) to brighten your sitting room. The fake fig tree is actually an easy-to-care for living plant with a long life span and decorating with fruit is an inexpensive way to stage your home.

Living Room Transformed Through Home Staging

Before (Top) & After Staging (Bottom)

What was once an empty, lifeless living room is transformed into an inviting gathering place where Buyers can picture relaxing with their family and loved ones. I staged with simple, classic furniture and a few accent pieces to bring a welcoming, at home feel to the space. Then I turned my attention to hanging artwork which add a splash of color to the living room and filled the large shelves with an assortment of charming items that represent island living.

Liven Up Neutral Tones with Anthuriums

For island living, staging with Anthuriums bring a style and grace to Hawaii homes and livens up neutral toned spaces. For those outside of the islands, look toward big leaf flowers, like a single palm leaf, as they tend to make a statement. Stop by your local farmer’s market to pick up your fresh staging flowers.

Turn a Kitchen Counter into a Dining Space

Create a gathering area by turning a kitchen counter into a dining space. Setting the table with flatware, plates and glasses is the first step, then make the space even more charming by incorporating sage placemats and napkins to bring the gorgeous shades of green from Pauoa Valley inside. I completed this section with a protea, which has a sophisticated island feel, and a matching pair of counter stools.

Reuse and Repurpose

Waikiki Landmark Penthouse #3801

Reuse and repurpose items already in your home. The Chinese coin decoration pictured was moved from another part of the penthouse to the master bathroom and paired with decorative branches to bring the beautiful outdoors inside. Sometimes the best staging comes about from relocating one item to another shelf, countertop or room entirely.

Invigorate a Small Kitchen

Diamond Head Rental

Invigorate a small kitchen by adding Hawaiian pieces (e.g. glass floats, sea shells and a leaf/plant) which will bring island living inside; add a few vibrant stools to bright up the space; and keep a small chalkboard handy for your little ones to doodle and play.
